Three decades of tech in the bay area created massive wealth and historical inequity. Solano county, and Vallejo in particular, have been overlooked and left behind by business, philanthropy, and gentrification. Until now.

Tech billionaires and developers are pouring money into solano county. We have 30 years of data showing the impact this will have on housing, jobs, transportation, and displacement for local BIPOC communities.

This time, let's do things differently.

Let's set the standard for the next 30 years of economic development in the bay area and beyond, where opportunity and investment includes.

About Touro

It is widely known in Solano County that Touro has been an incredible community member, particularly during the pandemic. They came to Mare Island during a time of great change and upheaval and have grown their presence on the island and in the community. Touro students hail from all over the world, from all walks of life, in the pursuit of a common goal: To get the best possible education, to find a promising professional career, and to do so in an environment that respects and supports their backgrounds and beliefs. Touro prides itself on its values which uphold a commitment to social justice, intellectual pursuit, and service to humanity. Through their Diversity Scholarship Program they have helped over 100 students from underserved and/or underrepresented communities realize their dream of becoming a health care or educational professional.

A Note about the Summit

While the Summit is taking place at Touro University, none of the content, speakers, agenda and goals will discuss or address the current war in the Middle East. This event is entirely focused on equitable economic development for Solano County.
