The Solano Economic Development Corporation (EDC) has launched the Solano Economic Research Center (SERC), slated to provide research to businesses and governments locally, regionally and beyond.

“SERC is already underway on five different projects and will offer services from market strategy analysis to economic impact studies, like the initial job creation and economic impact project it completed for the Mark III manufacturing facility in Sacramento County,” advised officials in a press statement.

Services will include the following:

  • Economic Impact Studies
  • Market Feasibility Analysis
  • Jobs Analysis
  • Location Quotients
  • Competitive Analysis
  • Supply Chain Studies
  • Marketing Strategy Development
  • Policy

“We’ve received a lot of interest in providing our research capabilities beyond Solano,” said Robert Burris, president and CEO of Solano EDC. “With SERC, we’ll be able to expand our research base and provide greater analysis to enable the growth of the region.”

The center’s objective is to bring in additional income and to increase the visibility of Solano County to prospective economic investors.
