PG&E’s Solano Energy Watch program, administered by Solano Economic Development Corporation, will sunset in June 2020 after six years of operation
June 24 2020Fairfield, Calif. June 24, 2020 — As of June 30, 2020 Solano Economic Development Corporation’s energy efficiency program, Solano Energy Watch, will come to an end. Solano Energy Watch has been a collaboration between Solano Economic Development Corporation and Pacific Gas and Electric Company.
Formed in 2014 to help address the challenge of reaching local governments and small to medium sized businesses with energy efficiency information, rebates, financing and energy saving opportunities, the program has put millions of dollars in rebates and recurring energy savings back into the community. Since its inception, Solano Energy Watch has provided an estimated $2,285,200 in rebates, outreached to over 1,100 businesses, and saved the business owners of Solano County the equivalent of removing 2,307 vehicles from the road for one year while putting an estimated $3,321,467 back into the business community through recurring energy savings.

ABOUT SOLANO EDC
The Solano Economic Development Corporation (EDC) is a public-private, nonprofit, dedicated to the economic growth of Solano County – scaling local traded sector industries, attracting new jobs and investment and maintaining competitive advantages for both existing and new businesses. The EDC provides confidential site location assistance to new businesses seeking to locate in Solano County. Pulling from the large and diverse portfolio of buildings and sites throughout the county, the EDC will prepare a comprehensive package of space opportunities, workforce and other resources that will assist the business in their decision process.
