Open Position: Part-Time Economic Development Project Manager

Do you have a history of implementing creative ideas; managing programs, grants and consultants. If so, the Solano EDC is seeking a part-time Economic Development Project Manager. This position will manage a loan fund using local lenders, economic development and planning grants in various cities and work on creative housing and other programs.
This position will work collaboratively with a very experienced economic and housing development manager and report to the President CEO of the Solano EDC. The position is part-time, with a flexible work location and designed to meet other needs in your life.
The successful candidate will perform complex, professional-level duties managing various programs and grants. Requires a high degree of professionalism, problem-solving skills and the frequent use of independent judgement. Will also perform related duties as assigned.
Essential Duties:
- Manage a Revolving Loan Fund, with local lender(s) providing the loan services, for small businesses impacted by the pandemic.
- Manage grant funded economic development, planning and housing grants involving multiple jurisdictions.
- Coordinate with other entities including chambers of commerce, lenders, city and county staff and various elected or appointed boards.
- Develop, prepare, administer and monitor budgets and monthly/quarterly reports.
- Prepare various report and provide presentations.
- Seek state, federal, local and private grants.
- Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 3 years of progressively responsible experience in a related field. Additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
Good computer skills with data access and sharing software, Microsoft Outlook and Office suites, word processing and spreadsheet software.
A valid California driver’s license in required at the time of appointment.
Compensation:
This is a part-time position with a pay range between $40 and $50/hour, depending on qualifications.
