Open Position: Economic Development Specialist

The Solano Economic Development Corporation (Solano EDC) is currently accepting applications for an Economic Development Specialist to work on the grant Moving Solano Forward III. This is a full-time, limited term, grant funded position.

 

This position will be responsible for performing a variety of technical and analytical duties in support of the Moving Solano Forward III grant. This includes the collection, compilation and analysis of data regarding economic conditions; prepare informational reports, illustrative charts and graphs; research, establish and maintain various databases; analyze market conditions; maintain and update database on available commercial and industrial real estate; track grant data and assist with grant reports; and perform related duties as assigned.

 

The Economic Development Specialist should have knowledge data research, evaluation and presentation; preparation and presentation of reports; basic principles of economics and economic development; computer programs, including word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, data and presentation applications. Good writing skills are important.

 

The Economic Development Position requires one year of responsible professional economic experience or one year experience compiling and analyzing data, or related experience. The equivalent of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in business, economics, political or social science, finance, statistics, or real estate.

 

Relevant equivalent experience (performing the same or similar job requiring similar knowledge, skills and abilities) may be substituted for the required education.

 

This is a limited-term, grant funded position through February 2023. It may be extended if additional grants or other funding is obtained.

 

The position pays up to $63,000 per year ($30.29/hour), with a benefit contribution, depending on experience.
