The Solano EDC has launched a new website, following a major strategic planning effort meant to attract jobs and business to Solano County, agency officials announced.
SolanoMeansBusiness.com. “reflects an aggressive new strategy” highlighting the competitive advantages of setting up a business in the least expensive county in the nine-county San Francisco Bay Area, EDC president and CEO Sandy Person said.
Describing the new website as looking “vibrant” and functioning “robustly,” SolanoMeansBusiness.com delivers:
Individual profiles for each of Solano County’s seven cities; featured available properties (value priced at 40 percent less than the rest of the Bay Area); available business resources; and key industries and a comprehensive data center, she said.
The website is part of the Solano Means Business campaign: Grow the economy by creating new jobs and infusing Solano with new investment, Person said.
“Our goal with this website is to provide users a vehicle to see Solano County as an outstanding location for their business,” Person said. “With a commitment of collaboration and a shared purpose, our cities know that job creation benefits all of our communities. SolanoMeansBusiness.com is a step in moving our ‘business first’ mission forward.”
Spearheaded by county and city leaders, Solano EDC, business organizations and service providers, the website’s goal is simple and clear, Person added.
“Solano means business. Visit SolanoMeansBusiness.com to explore what Solano County has to offer,” she said.
For now, visitors to the existing Solano EDC website, SolanoEDC.org, will be directed to the new site, where visitors can use the navigation bar atop the new website to see all the features they are used to finding at the traditional website, Person said.
